Project Description
It is common to find plastic bags scattered across the ground in developing communities, or for plastic waste to be burned with other trash (which can cause noxious fumes to be released). Our team worked to develop a method through which plastic waste could be melted down and then molded into household tools. We established partnerships with non-profit organizations in Kampala and Soroti, Uganda in hopes of proliferating these methods in the developing world.
